William Morris produced a very pretty watercolor and ink sketch some time between 1880 - 1896, which is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

Beth Russell has transformed this delicate painting into a very elegant needlepoint rug, as usual keeping to Morris' sensitive coloring and proportions.
