The design for this unusual sofa seat is attributed to William Morris and 
his apprentice and successor Henry Dearle. A watercolor of the design
 (1880-1890) is at the William Morris Gallery. A panel was woven in
 about 1910 by Morris & Co after the death of Morris and while Dearle
 was running the company. 


Beth Russell has taken a section from the panel to create this lovely cushion kit.

*WOOL THREADS: Appleton tapestry and crewel. 27 colors
*STITCH: Tent stitch with 1 thread (background 4 threads of crewel wool)
